The Hunger Games- AND Catching Fire

Hey everybody! I'm here to talk about The Hunger Games and the Catching Fire movies. Okay, almost everyone I know has seen The Hunger Games. They have all said it was awesome. Now the topic of Catching Fire is coming up. I honestly do not know if I want to see it. For all the people who HAVEN'T  read Catching Fire, it is going to be gory. VERY gory. Catching Fire is where Katniss and Peeta have to go back into the arena for the 75th annual Hunger Games. The 75th Hunger Games will be different this time because it is a Quarter Quell! That means more chances to die. You will be surprised at what the Game makers  have come up with this Quarter Quell! Anyway, there is a LOT of blood in this book. I don't know if my next blog will be about Mocking Jay, because I really do not know if I will read it. READ CATCHING FIRE BEFORE YOU GO TO SEE THE MOVIE. Okay, Catching Fire does have a few more months until it comes out into theaters, so you'll have LOTS of time to read all the books. Okay, enough about Catching Fire! Now some things about The Hunger Games. A girl in my class read The Hunger Games and she LOVED IT. I mean, she LOVED IT!! Now she's reading Catching Fire, but she doesn't like it as much because it is a little more serious than the first. Okay, enough about books. I have a question for everyone who likes Katniss more than anyone else. OKay, so my question is, WHY DOES EVERYONE LIKE HER MORE?! WHAT ABOUT HAYMITCH AND THAT OTHER GUY?!?!?!?!?! THEY WERE AWESOME TOO!!! Anyway, till next time!

Crocodlies- And Ice Age

Hey everyone! Ok, I'm watching Ice Age 2 right now. I was just flipping through the channels, then I see Ice Age. I love the movies. Almost everyone i know has seen all of them. I first see the part when the crocodiles are chasing them across the ice. Then I start wondering what crocodiles DID in that time. So i had my kindle with me, so I pull it out, and start looking up prehistoric crocodiles, and I find some pretty awesome stuff. I first looked up pictures, because why would you try to learn something if you can't see a picture of it? It sometimes helps me to look at a picture with history stuff like this or whatever you would call it. Anyway, here are some pictures so people came up with. (Thank you internet!)

I have no idea why these guys are swimming together. It looks like one wouldn't mind eating the other! Yikes!
Anyway, another picture!
Ok, this crocodile didn't sleep so well last night... Gosh, I fell bad for the little dinosaur in the picture... If only they had dinosaur police back then...
Anyway, now some information about these crocodiles.
Crocodile (Crocodylidae) is a large aquatic tetrapod that lives throughout the tropics in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Australia. Lizards, snakes and crocodiles are all scaled diaspids, but crocodiles are archosaurs, which means they are genetically closer to birds and the extinct dinsosaurs. Crocodylidae is classified as a biological family or subfamily.
The term can also be used more loosely to include all extant members of the order Crocodile : which includes the crocodiles of Crocodylidae, the alligator and caimans (family Alligatoridae) and the gharials (family Gavialidae), and the rest of Crocodylomorpha, which includes prehistoric crocodile relatives and ancestors.
Crocodiles tend to congregate in freshwater habitats such as rivers, lakes, wetlands and sometimes in brackish water. They feed mostly on vertebrates (fish, reptiles, and mammals), and sometimes on invertebrates (molluscs and crustaceans), depending on species. They first appeared during the Eocene epoch, about 55 million years ago. I did copy this from a Wikipedia, if you are wondering. I think crocodiles are pretty interesting when you really get to see what they are like. I hope you guys enjoyed this post, because my mom is now making me go to bed. I could probably go on about crocodiles, but sadly here its is 9:05. Till next time! (Like, tomorrow.) :D :D :D :D :D

A former English teacher (who still keeps her license current, just in case!), she lives with her husband and four children outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. She loves reading, writing, running, and listening to her husband play guitar.
:D :D :D Pretty awesome, huh? Someone of the kids in my class think its weird when I read about the author on the dust jacket.
Another series I like is The Candy Shop War!
It is by Brandon Mull, it now has a sequel! I have FINALLY finished it! About the author:

Brandon Mull is the author of the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling Beyonders and Fablehaven series. Brandon resides in a happy little valley near the mouth of a canyon with his wife and four children. He spent two years living in the Atacama Desert of Northern Chile where he learned Spanish and juggling. He once won a pudding eating contest in the park behind his grandma’s house, earning a gold medal.

:D :D :D :D :D :D Ok I think that is all I'm going to stop blogging here right now. More about my cousins next time!!!!

Skunky Spunk and my trip to Las Vegas

Hi everyone!!! We got back from Las Vegas yesterday, and I'm going to tell you guys what we did. This year my aunt Marie and her kids, Parker, Logan, Bruce, Jack, and Jacob, (who is living with them for a little bit) got to come to Las Vegas. Last year they couldn't come. This is everyone who was there: my great grandma, Choly , my grandma Maria, my grandpa Horacio, my aunts Leah, Marina, Marie, Sandra, my uncles Gabriel, David, Jonathan. my cousins Ignacio, Ivan and my aunt Maire's kids.                                         THINGS THAT WE DID

We went to M and M World and we watched a ten minute 3D movie called I lost my M in Vegas. My cousin Jack wanted some M and Ms, but when my aunt looked at the price it was like nine dollars!!! Next, we went to Coca Cola world. We got a couple sample trays for 8 bucks. It was really fun because they were sodas from around the world. Some of them were really good like the apples soda from Mexico, and the Smart apple soda from Japan or China. But the worst one was Beverly from Italy. You know when you get sick and you have to have that gross medicine to get better? Beverly was like it, except in soda form. It tasted SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  gross!!!!!!! All my cousins and I were spitting it out!    Another thing we did was go to the movies. We could go to Ice Age Continental drift, or go to Spider man. I went to Ice Age with almost all of Marie's kids because they already saw Spider Man. After the movie, we went to the bathroom before Spider Man was finished. What we didn't know that Jack was following us. Jack is only a toddler, and he didn't know any better. After we got out of the bathroom, all of the boys were saying they didn't know where Jack went, then Marie came out of the bathroom and we started looking for Jack. Me and the boys had known that Jack had followed and had thought Marie had known. It didn't take long to find him because he went over to the ticket thing where you hand the people your ticket. A lady was holding him and looking for his mom who is Marie. Marie got Jack and he started crying because he couldn't find her. After a little bit he stopped crying and we went back to wait for Spider Man to be over. Before we left Las Vegas  my Grandma gave me three aloe vera plants. It was so fun!!!! I can't wait for next year so we can go back!!!!!  When we went to my Gradma and Grandpa's house on my dad's side to pick up our dog, Spunk, he smelled SUPER bad. Why he smelled so bad was because earlier in the week he had come right up to a skunk and barked at it. So we have to keep him outside until the smell goes away or until we wash it off. Spunk is kind of crazy.
